My name is Marcel Klootwijk and I live in Middelburg, right in the middle of the Zeeland delta. I started birding in my grandfather’s backyard when I was 11.

It was the beginning of a passionate hobby. Besides birdwatching my other great passion is photography. My work is published in lots of magazines and even featured on the National Geographic calendar.

Birds are my favorite subject, but I’m interested in dragon-, butterflies and landscapes.

I am specialized in seabirds and coastal related species. Throughout the Autumn you can find me at migration spots in the area. I started guiding tours in 2010
